Graphic Expo, PVX 2010 held–
Graphic Expo and Photo Video Expo (PVX) 2010 recently gathered the country’s creative industry sectors in a grand four-day exhibition drawing an average of 6,000 trade show visitors and some 600 participants in its seminar series at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Advocating the use of advanced digital technologies in the production of advertising and promotional materials, Graphic Expo is an annual trade show on creative design, photography and imaging, pre-press and print production, large-format advertising, sign making, out-of-home web publishing, multimedia and animation. PVX, on the other hand, is an annual exhibition on photography and creative imagery.

Advertising Board of the Philippines (Adboard) chairman Andre Kahn led the ribbon-cutting rites and delivered his keynote address. Joining him in the opening ceremony were presidents Jorem Catilo of Zone V Camera Club, Edberto Acosta of Outdoor Advertising Association of the Philippines (OAAP), John Mateos Ong of Ph-Photo Online Community, Orly Mercado of the Society of Portrait Photographers of the Philippines, Nick Olayao of Framed Shots Camera Club, and Dr. Ric Navoa of the Nayon Photographers Club.
Corporate sponsors and various participating camera clubs were also awarded plaques of appreciation including Canon Marketing Philippines headed by Alan Chng as president and chief executive officer and Gakken Philippines Inc. led by Carlos Malibiran as president.
Organized by the Fiera de Manila, Inc. with its president Mario Babiera, Graphic Expo and PVX 2010 constituted a one-stop shop for the latest state-of-the-art creative and digital products, services and technologies. Seminar participants also enjoyed cool photography workshops and photo walks with ace Philippine photographers Raymund Isaac, Mark Floro, Tilak Hettige, Andre Hoffman, John Mateos Ong, Jo Avila, Jay Alonzo, Ibarra Deri, and Jun Miranda.
